Why do I need a Termite inspection?
There are usually four reasons someone will need a termite inspection:
Pre-Purchase Inspection
Before purchasing a dwelling, a termite inspection (in conjunction with a building inspection) is recommended.
Annual Inspection
The Australian Standard recommendation is a termite inspection every 12 months. Normally an inspection conducted on or before the 12 month anniversary of a treatment to allow the renewal of a service warranty.
Warranty Inspection
A warranty inspection is completed at increments pertaining to a treatment certificate limitation. This could mean instead of the normal yearly inspection, the limitations placed upon treatment may require an inspection every 3, 4 or 6 months, possibly due to the style of construction or lack of access to the building.
Insurance Inspection
Timber replacement insurance to the value of $100,000.00 is possible for a building, regardless of whether the building has a current termite management system or not. Strict conditions do apply.

What do I get for my money?
A termite inspection usually takes about an hour. During this time our operator will visually inspect the inside and outside of dwelling; fences and trees on the property using a moisture meter. A moisture meter is used to find termite activity as we believe this to be one of the most reliable methods of detection, along with over 2 decades of termite experience.
We provide information regarding, past, present and future possible infestations of termites. Also we provide information on any termite protection currently in place and the life expectancy of that system. We will discuss and recommend the best treatment, if required and a written quote if requested.
An 8 page written report is then completed and provided to you.
