Chemically Treated Zones

With the greatest percentage of termite infestation being via the external wall of the building, one of the most common defensive measures for existing buildings is the installation of an external chemically treated zone. Several different styles of chemical are available with differing modes of control; from repulsing the termites away from the building, to non-detectable control agents that allow the termites to come into contact with the zone and then be neutralized.

Chemicals: Termidor (preferred), Biflex and Premise.

Baiting Systems

There are many different types of baiting systems on the market today, ranging for D.I.Y systems brought off the web to fully monitored and maintained systems. If you have a termite infestation we would strongly recommend a D.I.Y. system is not for you. Reading a brochure on open heart surgery will not make you a heart specialist, nor will reading a book on termites make you a pest manager.
The Exterra monitored, interception and baiting system I believe is the best on the market today. With its unique granular attractant it leads foraging termites to the interception stations prior to them getting to the building.
With the baiting system working on eliminating the whole colony, this system is a very good alternative termite solution.

Reticulation Systems

This is a chemical delivery system for open soiled areas as well as below concrete and pavers for post construction, and partial to full under-slab systems for pre-construction work. Again, there are lots of different styles of reticulation systems available on the market today.
